Our Standard
Why we exist
Most toys are designed to entertain.
Ours are chosen to develop.
The problem with most toys
Parents are told that more is better for the child.
More toys. More stimulation. More input.
But more often leads to:
- shorter attention spans
- less independent play
- constant need for novelty
The Principle
Children don’t need more.
They need better.
How we choose
Every product we include must meet these:
1. Depth over novelty
If it only works once, it doesn’t belong.
2. The child does the work
If the toy performs, the child consumes.
3. Repetition builds development
Real learning comes from doing the same thing well.
4. Independence matters
If it needs constant adult input, it’s not supporting growth.
5. Clarity over clutter
If it adds noise, it’s removed.
What we don’t include
We do not stock:
- noisy, overstimulating toys
- trend-driven products
- items that rely on novelty
- products that replace thinking with reaction
What this means for you
We curate fewer products.
So you can make better decisions.
